Stir on Hopeful Monster

Read Stir Vancouver on Hopeful Monster, the new collaborative album by the SCA's Mauricio Pauly and Eve Egoyan, released by No Hay Discos. Chambers talks with Itter

The SCA's Justine A. Chambers was in conversation with Carole Itter on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 6:30 PM at The Cinematheque (1131 Howe St., Vancouver), after a screening of Itter's short films and then followed by a screening Yvonne Rainer’s Lives of Performers (1972), presented with the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery in support of the exhibition Carole Itter: Only when I'm hauling water do I wonder if I'm getting any stronger, which is at the Belkin until December 10, 2023. Border Crossings on the Sobey

Border Crossings Magazine has shared an introduction to the 2023 Sobey Art Award exhibition, featuring SCA alumnus Gabrielle L’Hirondelle Hill as the nominee from West Coast and the Yukon, which is on until March 3, 2024, at the National Gallery of Canada (380 Sussex Dr., Ottawa), with the $100,000 prize winner to be announced on November 18, 2023.
