Emma Savić Kallesøe wins!

Soon-to-be alumnus Emma Savić Kallesøe has won the 2023 Dean's Convocation Medal and will be the student speaker for the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology's Convocation ceremony on Friday, June 9. Congratulations, Emma!

Latta in Croatia and Finland

The SCA's Erika Latta will be in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from July 10 – 23, 2023, with WaxFactory, her company with Ivan Talijancic, for their Contemporary Performance Practices annual workshop, featuring Claudia De Serpa and Ellen Lauren. Also, later in the summer Latta will join Dr. Bertie Ferdman and Peter Eskerall on a panel, Intermedial Dramaturgies: Staging Play, Modes of Liveness and Social Engagement, as part of CARPA8, the Colloquium on Artistic Research in Performing Arts, which runs from from August 24 – 27 at the University of the Arts Helsinki, Finland.

Long's Through My Lens and Lonely Lonely Oh So Lonely

The SCA's James Long is presenting Through My Lens, a one-on-one, performance-meets-portraiture project with blind performer and photographer Amy Amantea, also working with SCA alumni Jordyn Wood, Daniel O’Shea, and Sophie Tang, which will premiere at the FOLDA: Festival of Digital Art in Kingston, Ontario, running June 7 – 10, 2023. Also, Long will be in Tampere, Finland, in August developing a lecture, Lonely Lonely Oh So Lonely, which will be presented at the Museum Millaveda as part of the Tampere International Theatre Festival. Tacata's Welcoming this summer

For part of his summer, the SCA's Ryan Tacata will be at the Sausalito's Headlands Center for the Arts with For You, to develop an iteration of The Welcoming to present at San Francisco's Jones Institute.

Maier in Paris

The SCA's Stefan Maier will be performing at Paris' Studio 3537 on May 14, 2023, presented by MONOM.

Pauly in Austin

The SCA's Mauricio Pauly was in Austin, Texas, recording a new album with Line Upon Line Percussion, and they played a show at the Ernest Butler School of Music at the University of Texas on Thursday, May 11, 2023.
