Jarvis' Until Branches Bend wins

SCA alumnus Sophie Jarvis' film Until Branches Bend won the Best BC Film Award, which includes a prize of $10,000 from Creative BC and $15,000 in post-production services from Company 3, at the 2022 Vancouver International Film Festival. Congratulations, Sophie! More HERE.

The SCA's Stefan Maier's essay, "Nervous Systems: Composing Unruliness in the Technosphere," is included in the latest issue of Revue Circuit, musiques contemporaines on the theme of Composer dans l’Anthropocène. Smulovitz talks METAXENAKIS

Get deeper into the minds of the SCA's Stefan Smulovitz and Sara Gold, both performing in Vancouver New Music's METAXENAKIS festival (running October 21 – 23, 2022), in this interview with the venerable Alexander Varty for Stir Vancouver.
