SCA alumni at Dancing on the Edge Festival

There is considerable SCA representation as performers and choreographers in the 2019 edition of the Dancing on the Edge Festival, which runs July 4 to 13 at various venues in Vancouver. Looking specifically at choreographers, MFA alumni Isabelle Kirouac and Nayana Fielkovis are presenting Habitats and MFA candidate Tomoyo Yamada is presenting Emergency!! (featuring SCA alumni dancers Jen Aoki, Kestrel Paton, and Charlotte Telfer-Wan) as part of the Courtyard Works series at the Firehall Arts Centre's Courtyard Stage; MFA alumni Helen Walkley is presenting John at Studio T here in the SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, co-presented by SFU Woodward’s Cultural Programs, as one of the 'full programs' in the festival; BFA alumni Mahaila Patterson-O’Brien is presenting Mid-light at the Firehall Arts Centre as part of the Edge Four series; BFA alumni Juan Villegas and Alejandra Miranda are presenting Eltaconquenofit at the Firehall Arts Centre as part of the Edge Three series; BFA alumni Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg is presenting The Body Project (working title) and the Warehaus Dance Collective, with BFA alumni Megan Hunter as its Artistic Director, is presenting Druft B at the Firehall Arts Centre as part of the Edge Five series; and BFA alumni Starr Muranko, who is an Artistic Associate with Raven Spirit Dance, is presenting Chapter 21 (work-in-progress) as part of the Studio Work program at Firehall Arts Centre's Studio.
