Wong is a Siminovitch finalist
SCA alumni Adrienne Wong is one of the finalists for the 2025 Siminovitch Prize, which is "Canada's highest valued theatre award." Congratulations to Adrienne and the other finalists – and good luck! More HERE.
Chambers in Kinesthesia: Body as Form

Leaky Heaven's Blink
Led by co-artistic directors Josh Hite and the SCA's Steven Hill, Leaky Heaven are presenting Blink, "an evening of 37 one-minute performances by some of Vancouver’s most exciting artists," a dance party, and a fundraiser for Leaky Heaven, on October 18, 2025, at 8:00 PM, at the Russian Hall (600 Campbell Ave, Vancouver), which includes a long, long list of performers, many of whom are SCA folks, too. Schexnider on THE ARRAY
Stir Vancouver spoke with What Lab's Jarin Schexnider about their co-presentation, with Upintheair Theatre, of THE ARRAY: Less Than Zero, "the ultimate fusion of sci-fi thrills with new, experimental performances," features three new works by The Biting School (SCA alumnus Aryo Khakpour and Arash Khakpour), SCA alumnus Anjela Magpantay, and Abi Padilla and Argel Monte de Ramos, running October 9 – 11, 2025, at What Lab (1814 Pandora St., Vancouver). The Luddite Land Assembly
Inspired by the history of the Luddites, who used direct action to protest the job-destroying threat of mechanization in the textile industry in 19th century England, The Only Animal Theatre (which has SCA alumnus Barbara Adler as Artistic Director) are sharing the Luddite Land Assembly Sessions on Saturday, November 8, from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, featuring SCA alumnus Keely O’Brien, and the Luddite Land Assembly Concert on Sunday, November 9, at 7:30 PM, with Tsimka Martin, Michael Red, and Caley Watts, both at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews, Vancouver), all presented as part of Music on Main's 2025 Modulus Festival (which is packed full of other great events, as well). Five Blessings' auditions
Five Blessings, the collaborative group of SCA alumni Nancy Tam, Derek Chan, and Howard Dai, plus Robyn Jacob and Jasmine Chen, are "looking for intermediate to advanced Cantonese speakers for all characters (must be able to work locally in Vancouver), who can participate in studio recording sessions as well as live reading events," for their upcoming A Year of Blessings in Cantonese production.
