Golchin Vol. 2 - A Nowruz Celebration
SCA alumnus Katayoon Yousefbigloo is performing as part of Golchin Vol. 2 - A Nowruz Celebration, featuring installations by SCA alumnus Niloufr Samadi, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at "a secret warehouse?? (Near Terminal SkyTrain)," co-presented by Miaan and the Mena Film Festival, with support from Bleach and Paradise. Vancity Revival
Vancity Revival, "songs from the 90s and 00s, with a dash of 80s and 2010s," is the most-recent extracurricular rock group featuring the SCA's Arne Eigenfeldt on bass guitar. Check them out HERE.
Kim lights Behind the Moon

We Are Boy Band
SCA MFA student Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg is responsible for the concept, direction, choreography, and, with Studio 58 students and designers, the script and movement score for Studio 58's presentation of We Are Boy Band, running March – April 6, 2025, at Langara College's Studio 58 (100 West 49th Ave., Vancouver). The Only Animal, with SCA alumnus Barbara Adler as Artistic Director, has a busy March schedule, including a Scrap Pillow Making workshop on March 16 and a Duvet Stuffing workshop on March 30, both at 1:30 PM at the Unit/Pitt Society for Art & Critical Awareness (2954 West 4th Ave., Vancouver) as part of their Winter Slow Social Club programing, and the Listening in Relation: Equinox Roundtable, which includes SCA alumnus Toni-Leah C. Magdy's an Emerging Changemaker
Congratulations to SCA alumnus Doaa Magdy won the Emerging Changemaker Award from GEMS Vancouver for their work on Horror in Seconds, the annual one-minute-of-less horror movie festival for BIPOC filmmakers they created and tirelessly program.
