The SCA's Raymond Boisjoly has work in the exhibition We who have known tides: Indigenous Art from the Collection, which is at the Vancouver Art Gallery from November 6, 2025 – April 12, 2026. More HERE (but let's hope the gallery adds more info there, please!).

The Brutal Joy in Ottawa

The SCA's Justine A. Chambers is presenting The Brutal Joy (with sound by the SCA's Mauricio Pauly and lighting by James Proudfoot) from November 20 – 22, 2025, at 7:30 PM, in the Arts Court Theatre (2 Daly Ave., Ottawa), co-presented by the National Arts Centre with ODD / Series Dance 10. The SCA's Laura U. The SCA's Christopher Pavsek has contributed the essay, "What We Come to See and Hear in Joshua Bonnetta’s The Two Sights," to Cinematic Ecosystems: Screen Encounters with More-than-Humans in the Era of Environmental Crisis, edited by Mary Hegedus and Jessica Mulvogue, which is out now from Vernon Press. The SCA's Chris Chong Chan Fui's Camera Trap is screened as part of Catalogs Without Order on November 6, 2025, at ARS Kunstilinnak (Pärnu mnt. 154, 11317 Tallinn, Estonia). More HERE.

Maier in the field

The SCA's Stefan Maier's "field-recording/machine listening project," Rewilding Synthetic Natures, was broadcast on German national radio on the Klangkunst program (download it HERE). He's also performing at Hotelier in Porto, Portugal, on November 26 (more HERE), and at Nariz Entupido, also in Lisbon, on November 29, and then Maier and Ragnhild May are presenting their collaborative work, Bellows, at Koncerkirken in Copenhagen as part of the 2025 Organ Sound Art Festival (more HERE). 

Solum I Soil

Solum I Soil, a dance film by the SCA's Rob Kitsos and SCA alumni Meagan Woods and Beau Han Bridge that features SCA alumni dancers Kayla De Vos and Lillian Wallman, is screening as part of Festival Desassossego, which runs November 8 – 16, 2025, at PAZ (311 Rua do Duque de Saldanha, Porto, Portugal). A Dream Pointing to Aadchit

SCA alumnus Ghinwa Yassine's short film A Dream Pointing to Aadchit is screening in the Beirut Shorts Selection: Land, Peace, & Justice Competition as part of the 2025 Beirut Shorts International Film Festival, running November 2 – 7, at the Metropolis Cinema (Pharoun St., Beirut, Lebanon). Choreographic Series November 2025

SCA alumnus Erika Mitsuhashi joins Isak Enquist and Peter Bingham presenting new work as part of EDAM Dance's Choreographic Series November 2025, running November 19 – 22, 26, 28 & 29 at 7:00 PM at EDAM (303 E. 8th Ave., Vancouver), with post-show artist talk-back on November 19. SCA PhD student Elisa Ferrari is performing live sound and music for Mitsuhashi work, and SCA alumnus Jaewoo Kang is the costume consultant. More HERE.

UNIT/PITT 50th Anniversary Exhibition and publication launch

UNIT/PITT 50th Anniversary Exhibition, 50: Half a Century of UNIT/PITT, which is also the launch of the publication UNIT is U (co-edited by Kira Saragih and featuring content by SCA alumnus SCA alumni Lauren Han and the SCA's Kay Higgins), is tonight (Friday, November 7, 2025), from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM at UNIT/PITT Gallery (2954 W. 4th Ave., Vancouver), featuring "live archival audio-visual interventions" by SCA alumnus Kaila Bhullar and Jefferson Alad.

SCA MFA student Lee Su-Feh is moderating a conversation with Laura Taler at The Cinematheque (1131 Howe St., Vancouver) on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 7:00 PM, following a screening of Taler's the village trilogy and Matryoshka Crush.
