Book Launch: Too Much Light is Blinding

Please join us for the book launch of Too Much Light is Blinding, edited by the SCA's Claudette Lauzon, and featuring essays by Lauzon, SCA alumnus Yani Kong, the SCA's Peter Dickinson, Denise Oleksijczuk, Laura U. Marks, and Alberto Toscano, an Adjunct Professor at SFU's School of Communication.

Proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre.

too much light is blinding was a group exhibition Lauzon curated that ran from April 10 – May 8, 2022, throughout the School for the Contemporary Arts in the Woodward's complex. The exhibition featured works by Rebecca Bair, Dave Biddle, Sabine Bitter + Helmut Weber, Raymond Boisjoly, Brady Cranfield, Rehab Nazzal, Marianne Nicolson, Elspeth Pratt, Eldritch Priest, Judy Radul, Carol Sawyer, Nadia Shihab, Kathy Slade, Alex Tedlie-Stursberg, Jin-me Yoon, Katayoon Yousefbigloo, and Lianne Zannier.

Too Much Light is Blinding was designed by Stephan Garneau and published by Publication Studio Vancouver/Bookmachine Editions, with support from the SFU School for the Contemporary Arts, the Faculty of Communication, Art & Technology at SFU, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
