Alana Gerecke (who worked with the SCA's Peter Dickinson to complete her PhD in SFU's English Department) and the SCA's Justine A. Chambers contributed the essay, "A Reservoir of Gestures, or Choreography is Relational," to the new 3rd Edition of Contemporary Choreography: A Critical Reader, edited by Jo Butterworth and Vicky Hunter, which is out now from Routledge. VIDF's Living Room responses
Presented as part of the Vancouver International Dance Festival's programing, The Living Room, produced by Ileanna Cheladyn, is a more discursive "gathering ground for what surrounds the performances" by local writers (or Living Room Responders) in response to VIDF performances. Read some by SCA alumni Rachel Silver Maddock (to Ame Henderson's Projects + Provincija and Sister Nightlight by George Stamos) and Joshua Segun-Lean (to Raízes [Roots] by Magnum Soares), and one by FCAT's Tessa Perkins Deneault (to SI(x) by Chimerik 似不像, which has SCA alumni Caroline & Sammy Chien-MacCaull as Co-Artistic Directors).

Riotous Youth led Bard Summer Camps
SCA alumnus Garvin Chan 陳嘉泓 is one of the artists in the Riotous Youth Internship who are running Bard on the Beach's Bard Summer Camps, which are aiming to devise “A Shakesperiment” while working closely with mentors from the Vancouver theatre community, including SCA alumnus Arthi Chandra, Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg, and many others.
