Look This Way!
CA 161 In Situ Project
April 1 – 7, 2026
SFU Burnaby

As a class assignment in the School for the Contemporary Arts’ first-year course CA 161, students will realize anamorphic public artworks at various locations throughout the Convocation Mall and the Academic Quadrangle. Anamorphics are “drawings in space”—forms that can only be perceived from a single, specific point of view.
This 5-day exhibition intervenes in the everyday routines through which students and SFU’s broader community experience the campus’s architectural and social environment. The project offers unexpected perspectives on the campus and engages the university as a space for communication and interaction, as well as a site of knowledge production.
