Welcome Day is an all-day introduction to the SCA for all new SCA students. It's also an opportunity for new SCA students to meet and get to know each other.

• 10:00 – 10:30 AM: Registration | SCA Lobby
• 10:30 – 11:00 AM: SCA Welcome | Cinema (Room 3200)
• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: HIVE Sessions | Rooms 4270 and 4390
• 12:00 – 1:00 PM: Lunch | WAC (Room 2555) & Roof Deck
• 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Program Area Orientation & Mini Tour:
  • Art, Performance & Cinema Studies (APCS): Room 2205
  • Dance: Room 4525
  • Film: Room 4365
  • Music & Sound: Room 4350
  • Theatre & Performance: Room 4270
  • Performance Production & Design: Room 2340
  • Visual Art: outside Audain Gallery
• 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM – Student Social (Optional to Attend): Room 4390
  • Student Social Space: for students who want to meet students from other Majors
  • Light and Shadow Interactive Station: we will have a number of old-school overhead projectors and art supplies available, with an open invitation for folks to play with free-form compositions in light and shadow
  • Fall 2026 Course Planning: for students with questions about their Fall courses
  • Tour of other CA spaces: for students who want to see more rooms not shown during the program area orientation mini tour
