Slade in the VAG collection
Congratulations to the SCA’s Kathy Slade, whose two 2020 large tapestry works, After Agnolo Bronzino, Portrait of a Young Man and After Agnolo Bronzino, Portrait of Laura Battiferra, have been added to the collection at the Vancouver Art Gallery. More about the works, which were first presented in a three person exhibition with Nadia Belerique and Jeneen Frei Njootli at the Kunstverein Braunschweig, Germany, in 2021 HERE.

Sleeper calling
SCA alumnus Clint Sleeper and Unrequited Leisure, an "experimental curatorial project and exhibition space" in Nashville, Tennessee, are calling for single channel projects to join their "Especially Flat File," to become a "repository for works curated into thematic exhibitions during our 2022 season." Ariaratnam's Music for Spirits – postponed
SCA alumnus Matthew Ariaratnam curated Music for Spirits, a performance series for the Carnegie Community Centre, which was set to feature other SCA alumni Lief Hall and George Rahi (Gamelan Bike Bike), has been postponed following the recent BC health rules. Check back HERE for updates.
