Congratulations x 2, Silverfox!
Congratulations to SCA alumni Krystle Silverfox, who's both a finalist for the 2021 Yukon Prize for Visual Arts (more HERE) and one of the three "inaugural artist-researchers" in the Art Gallery of Ontario's new Emerging Artists Exchange program (more HERE).
Congratulations, Hatalova!
Congratulations to soon-to-graduate SCA student Dalia Hatalova for winning a Graduate Dean’s Medal, which recognizes "graduating students from each faculty whose cumulative grade point average places them in the top five per cent of their class." Rest in Power, Jerry Zaslove
We're very sorry to hear of the passing of Jerry Zaslove, who was Professor Emeritus of SFU Humanities and the SFU Department of English and Director Emeritus of the SFU Institute for the Humanitie. Watch him deliver a lecture in 2015 on "The Aesthetics of Violence and Culture as an Enigmatic Signifier” for the Vancouver Institute for Social Research's free school HERE.
