Murdoch's Blind Contour

SCA alumni Corbin Murdoch released Blind Contour, a new album and collection of essays he says is his "attempt to respond to a call I have been hearing for years: that the responsibility of dismantling racism and white supremacy must fall to white people." Check it out HERE.

Tam in the GVPTA's Spotlight

SCA alumni Nancy Tam was highlighted by the Greater Vancouver Professional Theatre Alliance in their "Spotlight on Theatre" pick for today. Withintensions, the monthly online art mag created by SCA alumni, is looking for submissions for their latest issue on the theme of "Renaissance." More HERE.

Kotowich's PuSh Walk

The PuSh International Performing Arts Festival just released a "PuSh Walks" episode by SCA alumni Jeanette Kotowich, who takes us "on a westward walking sonic experience of land, water, body, histories, futures, and Spirit of Ulksen: Squamish place name referring to the Burrard Peninsula, colonially known as Spanish Banks." Bergonzoni's We Are Travellers

Postalian talks New Societies

The SCA's Claudette Lauzon chaired and presented on a panel with J.D. Schnepf (University of Groningen) and Thomas Stubblefield (UMass Dartmouth) titled "Kill Chain Aesthetics: The Drone in Popular Media," for the Society for Cinema and Media Studies (SCMS) conference, which runs March 17 – 21, 2021.
