SCA in Rumble Theatre's Tremors 2020

Rumble Theatre have announced the line up for Tremors 2020, which includes SCA folks María Escolán, Johnny Wu, Kimia Koochakzadeh-Yazdi, Barbara Adler, Kyla Gardiner, Su-Feh Lee, Eddy van Wyk, Laura June Albert, Fay Nass, Anthony Lee, Faizal Gowlani, and Howard Dai as creators, performers, and behind the scenes. $4 million for Lum's Monument Lab

Monument Lab, the independent public art and history studio based in Philadelphia that was founded by SCA alumni Ken Lum and Paul Farber, was received a $4 million (USD) grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Read more HERE.

SCA alumni Casey Wei is in New Vancouver Works & New Toronto Works, on Friday, October 16 at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET, and Saturday, October 17 at 12:00 PM (PT) / 3:00 PM (ET), which is presented jointly by VIVO Media Arts Centre's Video Out division (where Wei is also in charge of Distribution + Outreach, so perhaps she's both in the show and also co-curator on the Vancouver side) and Toronto's Pleasure Dome. Alexandra Spence in Proposals from the Future

SCA alumni Alexandra Spence was part of Proposals from the Future with composers Nick Ashwood, Johnny Chang, Megan Alice Clune, Andrew Fedorovitch, Sonya Holowell, MP Hopkins, and Shota Matsumura, which was "a methodology of sharing, chatting, messaging, commenting and encouraging – what the group describes as an ‘analogue collective mindset’ – to conceptually expand twelve scores that were produced and performed but not recorded." SCA MFA student Faune Ybarra is part of Galvanized Suns: Orbits 1 I 2 I 3, which is a "three day live-stream media event organized by the curatorial collective Diasporic Futurisms in partnership with Subtle Technologies," running online October 15, 16 & 17, 2020, from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM (EST), via www.diasporicfuturisms.com.
