SCA Alumni in the 2018 Academy Apprenticeship Program

SCA alumni Kirsten Carthew and Kathleen Hepburn have been chosen as participants in the 2018 Academy Apprenticeship Program. Run by the The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, a "national, non-profit, professional association dedicated to the promotion, recognition and celebration of exceptional achievements in Canadian film, television and digital media," the Apprenticeship Program "aims at providing female directors across the country the opportunity to further develop and advance their careers across all platforms." The Apprenticeship runs from September to March 2019, beginning with a two-day "summit meeting with industry executives" during the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, which runs September 6 to 16.
