Please join us for an evening of adventurous new music performed by the Montreal-based Quatuor Bozzini.

Now on its seventh year, the Bozzini Lab is an intensive workshop on composing for strings intended for young composers in the early to middle stages of their studies or artistic development. The goals of the workshop are to improve technical skills for contemporary writing for strings and string quartet, and to provide a supportive environment for visionary compositional ideas.

This iteration of the Bozzini Lab features eight composers from Canada and overseas who have gathered for nine days of writing and experimentation, guided by ‘mentor composers’ Owen Underhill and Christopher Butterfield, and concludes with a final concert of the work of the participants: Monique Ataei, Henri Colombat, Félix-Antoine Coutu, Beatrice Ferreira, Adam Junk, Daniel Lemer, Will Myers, and Jeremy Rapaport-Stein.

Presented with the SFU School for the Contemporary Arts.
